The Science Behind REST

Settle the evening. Restore your rhythm.

REST is a calming formulation inspired by traditional evening preparations and refined with modern nutritional understanding. Each ingredient is selected for its role in supporting the body’s transition from activity to rest, combining amino acids, botanicals, and minerals into a balanced, structured blend.

Rather than forcing sleep, REST is designed to support the conditions that allow rest to come naturally.

Foundational Amino Acid: Glycine

Glycine forms the foundation, dosed at 4000mg and widely studied for its role in supporting the body’s natural wind-down process¹. It contributes to a more settled state as the body transitions into the evening, helping to establish a calm baseline.

Mineral Support: Magnesium

Magnesium supports this base, contributing to normal nervous system function and supporting muscle relaxation². This essential mineral helps regulate the biological processes involved in winding down, supporting a balanced evening profile.

Botanical Layer: Chamomile, Lemon Balm, Valerian Root, and Holy Basil

Chamomile and lemon balm have long been used in traditional evening preparations to support a sense of calm and relaxation³⁴. Valerian root complements this layer, historically associated with restfulness and evening balance⁵. Holy basil completes the layer as a traditional adaptogen, used for centuries to support the body during the transition from a busy day to a quiet evening.

Antioxidant Base: Tart Cherry and Pear

Tart cherry provides natural antioxidant compounds, contributing to the formulation’s alignment with the body’s evening rhythm⁶. Pear offers a smooth, rounded base that integrates the botanical blend and softens the overall profile.

Aromatic Finish: Vanilla

A subtle touch of vanilla completes the formulation with a soft, comforting finish, reinforcing the sensory shift from activity to rest.

The Approach

REST is built on balance. Ingredients are selected to support relaxation, combined into a formulation designed to ease the transition into the evening. Rather than forcing rest, it supports the body’s natural rhythm.

This is rest, without resistance.
